The newly improved VACUUBRAND® PC3001 VARIO

PRO

 

is a totally integrated dry diaphragm vacuum system for 
rotary evaporation. It features upgraded software and 
20% more free air capacity than the previous model. 
The PC3001 VARIO

PRO

 can find and follow boiling curves 

without preprogramming. A powerful 34 liter per minute 
(1.2 cfm) free air capacity and 1.5 Torr (2 mbar) ultimate 
vacuum evaporates high boiling point solvents in even 
the largest benchtop rotary evaporators. Ultra-low 
maintenance with no oil to monitor or change, and no 
cold trap is required to protect the pump. Additional 
benefits include significantly reduced noise and 
diaphragm wear.

The system is equipped with a CVC3000 vacuum 
controller with an intuitive menu-driven graphic interface 
that features a jog wheel for quick adjustments. The 
controller modulates pump speed, providing smooth 
vacuum control. Single point vacuum control mode 
maintains stable, hysteresis-free vacuum at a single set 
point. Automatic mode finds and follows boiling curves

Featured below, c-Myc, Nanog, Oct 4, and Sox2 are key transcription factors that are highly expressed 
in pluripotent cells and are downregulated upon diff erentiation. These proteins form a transcriptional 
network to maintain the cells in a pluripotent state. Multiple independent research teams have 
reported that overexpression of combinations of these and other (e.g., KLF4, LIN28) factors can 
induce pluripotency in terminally diff erentiated somatic cells (e.g., fi broblasts). These induced 
pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) are similar to human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) in morphology, 
proliferation, surface antigens, gene expression, epigenetic status of pluripotent cell-specifi c genes, 
and telomerase activity. Furthermore, these cells can diff erentiate into cell types of the three germ 
layers 

in vitro

 and in teratomas.
